Jerome Akor, a Nigerian forward, scored two goals to help Montpellier secure a 3-0 away win against Lorient at the Stade Yves Allainmat-Le Moustoir on Sunday night.
Akor initiated the scoring for the visiting team at the thirty-minute mark, benefiting from an assist by Mousa Tamari.
Midfielder Teji Tavanier increased the lead by converting a penalty in the 73rd minute.
Akor netted his second goal of the match in the closing minute of the game.
The 23-year-old has now accumulated five goals in seven appearances for Montpellier in the current league season.
This victory marked Montpellier’s first win in their previous six league matches.
