Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, is reportedly keen on securing the services of Wolves winger Pedro Neto rather than Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the upcoming January transfer window. This interest is driven by Arteta’s desire to ease the workload on Bukayo Saka within his squad.

According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal is working with a limited transfer budget and values the Portuguese international, Neto, at £40 million. In contrast, Wolves place a higher price tag of £70 million on their player, Neto.

Pedro Neto has an impressive track record, having scored 12 goals and provided 18 assists in 119 games for Wolves since he joined them from Serie A side Lazio in 2019. This season, the 23-year-old has already contributed with one goal and five assists in eight matches for Wolves. It’s worth noting that his contract with Wolves is set to expire in the summer of 2027.
