Louis Saha, the former Manchester United striker, has identified the sole issue currently affecting Marcus Rashford’s performance at the club. Saha believes that Rashford needs to curb his tendency to ‘overthink’ in order to overcome his recent poor form.

Rashford, who was named Man United’s Player of the Year last season after scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists across all competitions for the Premier League team, has struggled this season. The English international has managed just one goal and three assists in 12 appearances under Erik ten Hag’s management.

Saha explained, “In Marcus Rashford, I see a player with tremendous quality – there’s no doubt about that. The only thing that’s holding him back is overthinking.”

He continued, “He has a tendency to think too much, and that is the problem he has at the moment. It sounds very simplistic but it’s not. He’s got great energy levels, he’s very physical, and the volume of his runs are his main strengths.”

Saha emphasized the need for Rashford to simplify his approach, focus on attacking, crossing, shooting at goal, and not being concerned about making mistakes. He expressed confidence that once Rashford simplifies his game and focuses his energy on what works, he will regain his unstoppable form.
