Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, has expressed contentment at Old Trafford, despite receiving transfer attention from Saudi Arabia.

Rumors suggest that the 29-year-old is a target for a lucrative transfer to the Middle East, and United is said to be getting ready for a potential £100m offer. Fernandes, who arrived from Sporting Lisbon in 2020 for approximately £47m, has proven to be a significant success at Old Trafford. Having taken on the role of club captain last summer, he succeeded Harry Maguire in the position.

Despite expressing dissatisfaction with the club’s season start,Bruno Fernandes affirms his contentment with staying at Old Trafford.

‘I’m focusing on the national team and United. I’m happy where I am,’ Fernandes told Sport TV Portugal

‘In the national team, we had some very good times, at Manchester United we didn’t start the way we wanted. I don’t look at rumours. I don’t pay attention to them.

‘Today, it’s very easy to spread rumours in the press. I prefer to concentrate on my goals.’

Fernandes signed a five-year deal with the club in 2021, with his existing deal running until 2026.

However, he has the option for a further 12 months.

Manchester United would not listen to offers for the midfielder.
