Bruno Fernandes admits he might not get everything right as Manchester United captain, but has defended his leadership, saying he is always doing what he thinks is best for the team.

The Red Devils legends, including Roy Keane and Gary Neville, have criticized the midfielder, suggesting that he should lose the captain’s armband according to Keane, and Neville expressing a desire for him to give up the captaincy entirely.

Despite this, Old Trafford has experienced a morale boost with three consecutive Premier League wins, including a 3-0 victory over Everton.

Bruno Fernandes displayed leadership by selflessly passing a penalty to Marcus Rashford, boosting the struggling striker’s confidence.

The 29-year-old has stood up for his leadership style on the field, acknowledging that he may make mistakes but emphasizing that he always prioritizes the best interests of Manchester United.

Obviously you don’t like to be criticised, everyone’s the same, but at the same time I have to do what I think is the best for my team,’ Fernandes told a press conference on Tuesday ahead of a Champions League clash with Galatasaray on Wednesday.

‘Probably I am not always right but in my head at the moment it is the right choice, so I do it.

‘My focus is on the team, the staff, everyone who works with me day by day. I think they are pretty happy with me, the way I am is the same since I arrived at the club, it has not changed since being captain.

‘I don’t think it has to change. I am really open with everyone so no one until now has had a problem with me, so I think I should keep it like that, everyone is pretty happy with my leadership.’

This week, the Red Devils travel to Turkey positioned at the bottom of Group A, yet they remain in the running for a spot in the knockout stages. Bayern Munich has secured the top spot in the group, while FC Copenhagen holds second place with four points. Galatasaray is also on four points, and United is one point behind them.
