Al Hilal star Neymar has praised Real Madrid’s Rodrygo, asserting that he is among the top five players in the world.

Rodrygo was notably absent from the 30-man shortlist for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, which was announced on Wednesday.

The Brazilian winger made over 50 appearances for Madrid last season, helping the team secure both LaLiga and the Champions League titles.

With 17 goals scored for the Spanish club and 27 senior caps for Brazil, Rodrygo’s impressive achievements have been overlooked by France Football, the organization behind the Ballon d’Or.

In response, Neymar took to social media to support his 23-year-old compatriot, declaring: “Minimum top 5 in the world! Ace.”
