According to Nottingham Forest manager, Steve Cooper, Taiwo Awoniyi is making good progress in his recovery from an injury he suffered. Awoniyi had sustained a groin injury during Nottingham Forest’s 0-0 draw against Brentford.
Initially, it was anticipated that the 26-year-old would be sidelined for approximately one month. Consequently, he was unable to play in the game against Crystal Palace just before the international break. However, there is optimism as the striker may soon return to training.
Cooper mentioned, “Taiwo is progressing well. He’s not far from being able to participate in training. We’ll assess his progress over the next week as we approach the game following this Saturday.”
In the current Premier League season, Awoniyi has been a scorer for Nottingham Forest, netting three goals.
