Ex-Real Madrid star Marcelo has his pick for this year’s Ballon d’Or winner: Vinicius Jr.!

The nominees for the prestigious award were just announced, and Real Madrid players are all over the shortlist thanks to their amazing 2023-24 season. They dominated, winning the Champions League, La Liga, and the Supercopa titles.

With 7 players on the list (including Vinicius Jr., Bellingham, Mbappe, and Kroos), it’s no surprise Marcelo favors a Real Madrid player. He believes Vinicius Jr. will win the award based on his outstanding performance, but acknowledges Carvajal, Bellingham, and Kroos also had strong seasons.

Vinicius Jr. is a top contender, but Manchester City’s Rodri could be a serious rival.
